One Tuesday afternoon, a group of friends took me to New World Mall in Flushing for lunch. The food court was much larger than I expected, with a door in the middle of the food court which oddly led to nowhere (o.o). I circled the food court twice just to know what I wanted to order. In the end, I ordered dumplings while my friends ordered Vietnamese food, which was strangely right next to the vendor I was. The dumplings were quite different from the ones I've had at home, but nonetheless, it was quite good.
After that, my friends tempted me to buy shaved ice. The second they mentioned they had strawberry shaved ice, I succumbed very easily:
Half-Eaten of Course
It was... VERY AMAZING. It had strawberry syrup, strawberry jelly, strawberry tapioca pearls, fresh strawberries, and strawberry sorbet to top it off. It was the best thing I've ever eaten and nothing could top it, for now.
Next, we ordered some crepes:
It was good, though nothing compared to the strawberry shaved ice. Mine had strawberry, banana, strawberry ice cream, cinnamon sugar, whipped cream, and a wafer. One friend ordered takoyaki and I ate one, burning my mouth in the process (xP).
It was a great day: tons of food and hanging out with my buddies. I'd recommend this place to those who are in Flushing.
